A very overrated of a restaurant and bar. It is good for a burger or salad at lunch and that for me is the extent of it. Wait for a table in the main room and don't let them seat you in Siberia in the back. It is musty and dank and the service seems to be a loss cause back there. The food at night they disguise as something more than it truly is. Fair warned is fair armed..don't get caught is this tourist trap that truly is not very good on any level including service, atmosphere, food, decor and even the drinks are a bit watered down for those tourists who fall in trap.

Fabulous Food! The Chilean Sea Bass is fantastic, the atmosphere is so cool and the service impeccable. If you are in the Palm Beach area, this is the place to go.

The service was lacking, our drinks were empty several times for several minutes. When we were finished eating our plates sat in front of us for a good 10 minutes before someone finally came around to remove them. They definitely need more support staff to fill waters and bus tables. The shiitake mushroom and roasted beat salad that was incredible. We also enjoyed the sundae for dessert, which had candied walnuts with vanilla ice cream and hot fudge. Would I go here again? ... Probably not.

Palm Beach answer to a neighborhood diner that has a very active and lively bar scene and equally amazing bartenders. Staff is wonderful, but its the food that disappoints. If one sticks to very simple dishes - and to be fair there are many on the menu - you should be fine. The problem here is quality; your steak will be ok, but you can get far better at a steak house for the same price. Do yourself a favor, pull up at the bar (If there is space), introduce yourself to the bartender, order a burger and a drink, and start talking to the people around you. You will be there for a LONG time.

I used to really like this place. It is pretty. It is Palm Beach. But my last two visits were disappointing experiences. I will concentrate on the lunch I had yesterday. I met a friend and we were seated promptly, as we had reserved a table. The rolls in the basket were dry and except for the raisins in one, were pretty tasteless. The waiter was pleasant but perhaps overworked. He didn't rush us and the food came after a decent amount of time. The problem was in the details...no ketchup came with my friend's hamburger. It wasn't hot by the time it came. My salad was missing the nuts and dried cranberries which attracted me to that choice. The added salmon was delicious but rather small. The milk for the coffee was also late. Attention to detail will result in a better rating if I ever return.

I was back for work a week ago, and went to Taboo for dinner the night I got in. I was dining alone, so I sat at the bar. The bartenders were friendly but not intrusive, and service was quick. I ordered the tuna steak burger. It's serve on a toasted English muffin with wasabi mayonnaise and wakame. It was AMAZING. One of the best things I have eaten in a while, and I was just expecting an average sandwich for a late evening bar meal. I was in and out relatively quickly, even though I took my time eating. Same funny people-watching, but a very tasty meal.

This place has not been as much fun since Willie Kennedy Smith tainted the old hood with his shannagans at Au Bar. Why does the Iced Tea here taste creamy and a little like chocolate milk? I like the Turkey with stuffing sandwich, Lobster & Seafood Risotto with Tomato-Tarragon Coulis. Outstanding! When I was a younger man and I watched the ultra thin women walking from table to table I was in awe of someone who knew everyone. The next time I was there a friend told me that the woman was a pro looking for a date. (Wow, I thought she is hot and dressed extremely well for a hooker) I later (much later) found out it was a bunch of models from the nearby shops showing off the new fashions of the stores. Thats embarrassing! I never shared that with anyone before and now feel my soul is pure.

I had a really good piece of fish. The service was adequate. But we really didn't enjoy the atmosphere and the place is a bit dog-earred. Especially for where it's located.

The best Happy Hour in Palm Beach, and I am not joking. Great drink and food specials. I have not been there for dinner in a few years so I cannot give a current recommendation. If you are out shopping on Worth Ave, stop in for happy hour.

Great salads, nice service, good drinks. Sat up front with the ladies who lunch.

The place for lunch it seems in PB. Attentive service and broad menu.

If classy tropical decor and people watching/spotting is what your after--come here. Maybe have drinks and skip the food, while not bad by any means, the food was nothing memorable and/or creative although the prices are high.

If there were some of your classic Palm Beach characters here when we went in for a late Saturday afternoon drink then I would have probably added two or three more stars depending on the level of repartee. But as it was almost empty and the only denizens were fat pasty white tourists from the heartland in shorts, sneakers and t-shirts sitting at the bar drinking beers and the decor had all of the charm of a late 90's upscale Boca tract home kitchen we left to look for a more suitable place to drink the afternoon away.

Taboo is on our list of spots we go to regularly for dinner, although the lunch scene here is always active too. And it's on the bar circuit which means you start here for a few, then head over to Bice for a few and then wind up at Palm Beach Grill for a few. Me, I'm a one drink man so that's not my thing, just sayin'. The food here is excellent and this spot is a favorite for the Palm Beach crowd. Stop by for lunch or dinner and then take a leisurely stroll down Worth Avenue, one of the premier shopping venues in the world. Very, very pretty...don't miss the little side streets and if you listen in on the conversations, you'll hear just about every major language spoken here by the well heeled shoppers.

Extremely disappointed! Wanted to have a nice meal with my family for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Every 10 minutes or so a model would come by and explain her outfit and tell us how much it cost and where we could buy it. Are you kidding me. I've never heard of such a thing. If I spend $100 on lunch, I should certainly not be subject to a full court press sales job by wandering sales girls/models. At such an upscale location, I say déclassé!

This place was very good. It didn't have alot of options though. The food had a lot of flavor and was very good. The service is good and I liked it.

Wow, was today a disappointment! Thought I would enjoy a nice Sunday brunch at a well-established and reliable (so I thought) dining establishment in Palm Beach, but that was not to be. The once popular restaurant was nearly a ghost town and the food was mediocre, with rather small portions. To make matters worse, my family had not yet finished with their appetizer salads, when the waiter shows up with the entrees. Instead of taking them back to the kitchen or at least covering the plates, he placed them on a corner table underneath the air conditioning vents. Needless to say, the fish entrees were cold. Not good!

Taboo is Palm Beach at its best. With a prime Worth Avenue address, you can't ask for a better spot. It's like walking into a Tommy Bahama store, with a fabulous menu. Our server was a wonderful woman, transplanted from Massachusetts. She quickly noticed the birthday card I gave my boyfriend at the table, and was quick to wish him a Happy Birthday and get to know us a little. I love Taboo for its unpretentiousness. The wines are very reasonable. The food even more so. The smoked salmon appetizer was delicious, and our entrees were really great. Veal Milanaise, and the "small plate" of scallops. All expertly prepared. Desserts tend to be overly elaborate, but Taboo does one simple thing really well - hot fudge sundae. That's all I have to say about that! Great, great restaurant.

Pretty tasty food. Wonderful eye candy and plenty of models modeling new dresses. Enjoyed people watching and the food. Give it a go!

Quick service, pretty extensive brunch menu, and while prices were higher - I didn't feel like I was getting ripped off. We started with a small nachos - which was pretty good - and not exactly small. I had the puff pastry brie with fresh fruit which was very good. My husband had the prime rib with eggs which he seemed to enjoy. Was a nice quiet place to enjoy lunch after walking around Worth Ave.

My husband made reservations here for our weekly "date night" and it was wonderful! I had a delicious chocolate-raspberry martini to start and it was delish! We split and order of calamari and it was so tender....our server said that it gets that way if you soak it in milk...who knew (probably a lot of people but not yours truly!). I chose their seared yellowfin tuna and I was completely wow'd! It was encrusted in sesame seed and peppercorns cut in half and OMG, it was tasty. And the serving was HUGE! One piece would have been comparable to what I've seen in other restaurants but this came with TWO! Can't even remember what my hubby had I was so engrossed in my own meal but I remember taking a second to ask if he like it and he said yes. We also split a decadent chocolate mousse cake with fresh whipped cream and raspberry sauce. Perfect ending to our meal. The gentleman who met us at the door and watched our car until the valet got there (guessing he was the host?) was so incredibly friendly and stopped by our table to check on us a couple of times....ended up having a nice chat about scuba diving which made my evening even better since I'm in the process of getting scuba certified....I digress. Sorry! We loved the decor and ambiance. It looks TINY from the street but it goes really far back and we elected to sit in the back in a comfy cozy booth next to a gas fire place that we didn't need but made it a bit romantic! It's very tropical looking with jungly (is that a word?) murals painted on the walls....loved it! If we lived in Palm Beach, we'd quickly become "regulars!" (Wish I would have known ahead of time that Rod Stewart and other famous folks hang out here....I would have paid more attention!!)

Nothing special except the location on Worth Ave. But then again, Rodeo is not famous for its eateries either.

I am giving it 5 stars because the pizza topped with Brie, pears, grapes, candied pecans and red onion was out of this world. The atmosphere was nice and cozy and the 1/2 priced Veuve for happy hour was very welcomed. The bartender was nice too, he was funny and very accommodating. I will definitely go back to Taboo on my next FL visit.

Okay food. Bartender is terrible! Oozing with the older palm beach money crowd. For what they are charging for food the service could be 100% better.

I came here based on a recommendation from a friend. Stopped in for lunch and left satisfied. We got a table near the fireplace since it was a cold cold day and we were chilled from walking around Worth. I ordered a lunch special of lentil soup and sandwich with pesto mayo. I liked it very much. My friend ordered a Seared Tuna Salad. It was huge. Share it with someone. Such a shame to leave so much tuna behind. Palm Beach I'm really starting to like you.

So we went to Worth Ave in Palm Beach to stroll down the avenue, count the Bentley's and people watch. We also stopped into this very popular spot along the avenue for lunch. We had two different salads, a sandwich and a pizza. The meal was well presented and the service was good. The food was just ordinary. How about a Niciosse Salad using canned tuna. Get the picture? I don't think this place would survive in any other locale.

Thank you to Kevin and your staff for being top notch. You made our first night in Palm Beach fantastic. The brie, the steak salad, the best key lime pie I ever had... Excellent service...great place. If you are reading this review I say go here and you will be happy.

3-1/2 stars. This was part of my Real (Senior) Housewives of Palm Beach excursion when my mom and two of her friends and I went shopping along Worth Ave and then lunched at Taboo. Great iced tea (a black currant unsweetened flavor). And the salad that can't be beat is the mixed field greens with chicken and pears, tossed with crumbled gorgonzola cheese in an orange-walnut vinaigrette. We also enjoyed the salmon BLT. I only wish the salmon was warm instead of cold, but the dill mayo still made it tasty. The rest of the afternoon was spent drooling over designer clothes, shoes and jewelry. Alas, the only thing I could afford: lunch.

OK, the clientele can be a bit on the older side. But this place oozes old Palm Beach money. The food was adequate, but you don't go there for the food. You go there to watch wealthy 40 to 60 year old people hit on each other. It's like a day at the aquarium. Ha, ha!

OK. I remember always being forced to come here with my family as a child. Food is still good though. Not my fav place but it's good and always busy. I prefer to do lunch here.

Met a friend for lunch here while in the area. Hostess was friendly and efficient. Waiter not so much. Started a bit rocky when my friend's glass came complete with lipstick marks all around the rim of her glass. Sadly, not made by her. No apology, just a replacement. Food was just OK. Not good, but OK. Had a 20 minute wait to get a refill on my drink, though waiter kept buzzing by our table and I attempted to get his attention several times. Got the impression that he was taking care of his regulars and didn't care about us. Would not return.
